Great Lakes Dragaway is one of the oldest dragstrips in the entire United States. Many classic matchups and great times have taken place here. These snippets of classic footage from the Great Lakes Dragaway Archives contain rare video from the early days of Great Lakes Dragaway. We hope you enjoy them!
In order to please a wide audience, we have several formats for you to choose from. We have a collection of "traditional" AVI's which are very clear, but take a considerable amount of time to download. We suggest only those with fast connections (ISDN, Cable, etc) try to run these clips. If you have a dial-up connection, you can still see them, just be patient while the clips download. In order to run these videos, you must have either REAL PLAYER, WINPLAYER or QUICKTIME. If you do not have any of these required plug-ins, you can download them for free by clicking the icons in the margin to the right. QUICKTIME users may not be able to view all the clips due to compatibility issues, but in time we will convert all the .avi's to work with QT.
We also offer, for those with slower computers/connection speeds, a series of ultra-compressed videos that will run in your browser with NO PLUG IN REQUIRED!
These video clips are not as clear as the avi's, but they load very quickly and are enjoyable. The links are in the red margin. ENJOY!!!!!
