GLD extends a huge congratulation to Mike Ricchia & crew of the Chicago Wiseguys... Mike ran a 5.94 @ 232mph on Labor Day Weekend Saturday, making him the fastest door car to go down Great Lakes Dragaway! He is almost as fast as Ray Drew's Starship Enterprise funny car, who also set a record of his own with a 5.75 @ 250mph on Mopar Day, making him the fastest blown alcohol funny car to race at GLD. Congrats to them both!

Tuesday, September 7th:
Closed for Labor Day Break because we were open Monday
Wednesday, September 8th: Wacky Wednesday Race for $25 5-10pm
Ladies Night - Ladies race and spectate for free
Guys spectate for $12, race for $25
Thursday, September 9th: Slicks & Bike Night 5pm-10pm
Cars on slicks race for $40, Motorcylces race for $30, spectate for $12.
We are bringing 5 cars from Puerto Rico to battle the Midwest imports! A handful of Imports on both sides will be running low 7s at 190+ MPH!!
These cars will be test and tuning on Saturday.
Saturday will also feature single digit ET motorcycle racing & open test n tune time runs for anybody... and Sunday will feature the monthly Import Wars bracket racing with the battle of the Imports!
Admission (per day):
Adult spectator: $20
Fun Racing Test n Tune: $40
Gates open both days at 9am
Racing ends on Saturday at 10pm
Racing ends on Sunday at Dusk
ABOUT SATURDAY:
Saturday will be a test n tune day, the fast imports will be testing and getting dialed in for Sunday's race. We will also have 8 and 9 second motorcycles doing a heads up race. Saturday will be a perfect test n tune day to bring your own car to race, as well as watch fast cars test n tune!
ABOUT SUNDAY:
Sunday is the big race day. The Puerto Rican and Team Midwest cars will be dialed in, ready to race for big money. Sunday also features the monthly Import Wars bracket racing, as well as test n tune.
To sum this up, come on Saturday if you would like to see fast cars get dialed in, test and tune, etc. or if you would like to do a lot of your own open time runs.
Sunday is the day to come and grab a seat in the stands, for there is lots of 6 and 7 second Imports to be seen!
